OKAY. I had all the intentions of posting this in December/January….but now it is almost April and I’ve yet to start. Better late than never, right?
One of my resolutions is to read more in 2020. I have compiled a list of all of the books I want to read in the next 12 months. I’ll update with links to my book reviews.

Here is my 2020 reading list:
The Scythe series was recommended through a youtube video. I’ve read one other Shusterman book, about 4 years ago. He has interesting way of telling stories. This dystopian series is about 3 people being trained to be scythes, the only ones who can end life. In their future the world is peaceful; there is no hunger, no war, no misery. They are being trained with different mindsets of who “deserves” to die to keep humanity going.
This series is about a girl growing up in Italy. You follow Leda through her childhood in the first and second books and teens into the third book. Along the way she meets a new boy from Southern Italy named Nico and the series takes off from there.
Tell Me Three Things is a YA novel that follows a girl, Jessie, in her junior year of high school. She is forced to move across the country and begins receiving anonymous messages from someone trying to help her transition into a new school.
The Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus is similar to Wonder. It is about a child learning and cope with the hardships that come with looking different. Aven has no arms and although she has positive and supportive parents, kids at school aren’t. She meets another character and the bond throughout the story.
Squint is about a boy who is starting to go blind. While he still has is vision he wants to finish his comic book. He becomes friends with the new girl who is afraid to be seen with the kid that squints.
I hope your resolutions are going better than mine! And if you are in the same boat as me, it is never too late to start!
