How are you climbing to reach your goals? What changes are you making in your day to help you?

Maybe we are getting up earlier to squeeze in a workout. Or maybe we stay up an extra 30 minutes to read, work on a side hustle, or map out our next day.

Whatever you are doing- keep doing it. 💪 The only way we stay where we’re at is if we don’t change anything.

I had a whole other caption thought out and then I watched this video and scrapped it 😅

This video referenced a time when Houdini willingly put himself in jail to prove he could get out within an hour. And he couldn’t. After two hours he gave up.

The jail cell wasn’t physically locked. It was however locked in his mind. 🧠

There are so many moments we come across where the doors are “locked”. Not because they are actually locked but because we don’t think we are good enough, smart enough, strong enough, etc. to unlock them.

Friends. Don’t let your mind close in on itself and lock you in. Your thoughts are powerful and can change your life. ✌🏼

Do you feel overwhelmed like you have a million tabs open in your brain?

My brain feels like this right now 😅 bouncing from tab to tab trying to do all the things 🙃

What I’m left with are texts I never pressed send to, emails I started and never finished, work tasks that are half done, a messy house, and an exhausted mind. 😵‍💫

🧠 One strategy I use, but forget to do regularly, is to write my thoughts down. Getting thoughts on to paper clears out those tabs in our mind so we are able to organize them better.

When we know what we need to do we can work smarter, not harder. The work we have to do every day isn’t impossible.

Oftentimes we are prioritizing the wrong things (scrolling TikTok for me) and aren’t using our time the best we can.

We can life a life where we get all the things done, have a clean house, and take care of our relationships. We can make intentional choices that lead us to living a peaceful life. ✌🏼

Whether it’s behind in your todo list or behind in life (which tbh isn’t a thing) our perception makes us feel behind.

✨The truth is- we are right where we need to be. Growing and learning in the best ways.

Maybe you’re like me with an overwhelming long todo list that requires technology and internet but instead you’re sitting in your house without power due to heavy amounts of snow- hey 👋

Or you are constantly comparing where you are right now to where your friends are.

✨Remember that you are doing the right things.
✨You are working towards goals in your own time.
✨This is your journey and we do ourselves a disservice when we start comparing journeys.

We can’t control what happens to us in life but we do get a day on how we react.

We get to keep on our journey and enjoy the curveballs life throws at us. ✌🏼

I wish I could take credit of this quote but I can’t! It came from a 2nd grader as we were talking about dreams ✨

Whatever dream you have- big or small -it’s going to force you to get uncomfortable, try something new, and work hard.

There’s the quote, dreams don’t won’t unless you do…I prefer the 2nd graders interpretation. 🤷‍♀️
